Burlesque Design
The fine folks at Burlesque of North America are nothing short of amazing, and I feel lucky to call them family have my art find a home within their website. Aside from designing and screen printing, curating and hosting exhibitions such as Full Bleed which I am lucky enough to be a part of they have also published a multitude of print projects, working closely with artists to take their art from the drafting board to the finished print. They have published art prints for David Choe, John Baizley, Jacob Bannon, Arik Roper, Arron Horkey, Hydro74, Deuce Seven, Jennifer Davis, Aye Jay Morano, Broken Crow, and more.
ERODED SUN – STANDARD EDITION
Eroded Sun is based on a painting (approximately the same size as the reproduction) I created for Neurosis’ Summer 2016 European tour, designed to be a complement to the artwork I created earlier in 2016 for Neurosis’ “Fire Within Fires” album.
Neurosis holds a special place in my heart and that passion and pressure to create something monumental for the band shines through in the multiple layers and textures all hand-drawn, painted and sanded into this original artwork. No computers were used to enhance the original at all.
the Burlesque crew broke down these heavy textures into 14 layers, all expertly commited to paper by there man Ben LaFond, making this what one of my favorite prints I’ve ever released with them.
