Black Sunday
Today at Saved Tattoo here in Brooklyn, Stephanie Tamez, John Sultana and myself will be doing walk in tattoos from 11am until close. As many of you may know I will be moving to Austin Texas in July and working and living there permanently. Throughout the next few months I will be doing a few walk in days to accommodate people who want to get tattooed by me but don’t want something big or too specific. I will only be working from a set of flash designs (mostly unshaded so that i can leave the outcome of the tattoo as decision in the moment of creation) that I have created specially for these days. No appointments, just first come first served. Ill post pictures of the tattoos later in the week but for now here is a sneak at one of the more fun sections of drawing.
I will also post the schedule of the other walk in days later this month.
Thank you!
Any questions please call Saved
this into that and back again.
I have been selected for a short list as part of a craftsman competition, if you could take the time to head over to the website and vote for me I would really appreciate it………… !
And now back to more important things, I just finished this sleeve….. super happy with the flow and combination of elements……
here are some photographs.
Thank you so much.
Old and New
Below is a series of photographs from 2004-2005 of a back piece I made on a very nice gentleman who then collected more work from Jason Saga R.I.P. after i moved to NYC. This tattoo was alot of fun! Color and lots of Black……..

The next series of images is of a back piece I am currently working on………… I am so grateful that i get to do so much large work… but I want to do more!!!!
It is interesting to watch the evolution of ones own work………………………….
thank you.
Moving Capture
This is a short film intended as an experiment on how to show my work in an alternative form. It is so hard to catch the beauty of a tattoo on a person’s body with out standing right next to them, so I decided to try and make a short piece concentrating on the depth and texture of my work.
This is not a professional attempt by any means, hopefully it is a starting point for me to create something better.
thank you for looking.

First Tattoo’s of 2013
Great first day back at work today, working on Tamara and Jordan.

Insta – taneous
I didn’t post much on here the last half of 2012, this was partly due to the popularity of Instagram.
Above is a montage of some of my posts on my @thomashoopertattooing account. I’m making an effort to take my camera to work more this year and document my work in progress to publish here on wordpress. But to follow my work in the format of bad iPhone pictures please go to my Instagram.

Thank you. And have a great day.
Starting off going backwards.
This Tattoo is by no means new, i think it is about 4 years old. An attempt at a representation of a phoenix as if they existed in Haida mythology with my own twist on it…. I love the simple graphic nature of it, with its subtle detail giving it a little bit of depth. I’m going to be posting some of my early work from the beginning of my career and more recent in an effort to take a step back into larger, simpler and stronger forms (but still with headache rendering repetitive overly detailed textures). Thank you.
From beyond into Eternity, 2013 begins.
Happy New Year everyone. I want to first say a sincere thank you to all the people who have supported me through the last year and my whole career. No matter if it is through visiting this website or my instagram, buying a t shirt, book, print, painting, getting tattooed, offering friendship or advice and most importantly thank you to my family, I truly appreciate everything. It is not by luck or chance I am able to do what I can, it is through support and encouragement that I am able to work so hard.
Here are a few bits from last year, finished and in progress. Enjoy.
Good luck in 2013.
