Last night I had my first Exhibition in NYC, in collaboration with the launch of Sang Bleu issue 5. We were lucky enough to show at Envoy Gallery, who let us have complete freedom in their space for one night, we cant thank them enough for that opportunity and for being such great hosts.
Although it was only up for one night it was really good to see a cohesive narrative of my work in one place. It helps to see it that way, I need to explore, refine and distill my visual language. Obviously It would have been great to have it up for longer but because it was only one night it removed a lot of the pressure so I could just be creatively free. Thank you to all my friends for coming.
The body of work consisted of 10 paintings and a video I composed projected onto a large 72 x 96 inch canvas painting.
Here are the works on paper……
